I know Trever and Casen are still small but to us there is no better time to try to start making memories with them! A lot of times, especially now, people think that making memories with their kids is either going to cost them a lot of money (like having to actually go on vacay) or a lot of time. I don't know of any parents that have a lot of both. I am thankful that Michael and I don't seem to be afraid to slow down or to not give our kids the best of the best in order to make a memory with them. So a few weekends ago we had a little bit of warm weather (this was about a month ago and we hit 50 ;) so we decided that we would grill out. While at the store I thought about making smores. I called Michael and he thought it was a great idea. He has been working on building us a fire pit outside anyway so what a great way to try it out! After supper we bundled the boys up (as it had gotten back down in the 40's by this point) and headed out to the fire that Michael had built. We roasted their marshmallows for them (we are brave but not that brave ;) and showed them how to put them together. They were thrilled! Both boys have a big sweet tooth so they were catching on to this quickly! Anyway, we put several together and then brought them in to eat since we were about frozen. I love a good Smore as much as anyone but I wish I would have video'd them eating them. This was a first for both boys. Casen took a bite and said "mmmmm mmmmmm mmmmmmm" I posted pics of them. I thought this was a cheap but great thing to do to make memories! (the pic of casen is his new "cheese")
