Kadee Jane Cramblit is here!

So, I'm kinda behind on posting about Kadee's birth...not bc of lack of excitement but lack of time perhaps!
On Wed, July 27th, I went for my last pregnant appt. where we would set an induction date and get our last ultrasound. Our ultrasound revealed that sure enough, Kadee was still breech as ever and now was officially "too big to turn" so we were sent down the hall to schedule our c-section for the next week. I'm not gonna lie, I was disappointed. I had read everything I could about a c-section, quizzed everyone I had ever known to have one and really tried to sike myself out of labor and into a c-section but I was still a little bummed. I was scared, not of the surgery. but of recovery. I would now have 3 small kids to take care of and Trever would be starting school in less than 2 weeks and I just wasn't sure how fast I would "bounce back". So on the way home I did what any 9 month pregnant girl would do. I cried! lol Not just to myself though. I had my very own little meltdown to the Lord. I knew that He knew that "I" didn't really want a c-section but I just needed to say outloud to Him and myself that I really did want Kadee Jane to get here however He willed it and apparantley that was by c-section, and I would be joyful about it. I.would.be.joyful!You see we had not tried any of the "tricks" to get her to turn. We made the decision early on (she had been breech since at least 18 weeks) that we would leave it to God and if she was meant to turn then she would and if not there was a reason. After all, if we got right down to it, I didn't care how they got her out (I had suggested with Casen that they take him out of my mouth since that was the biggest "opening" I had but they wouldn't do it ;)) I just wanted her to be ok!

So anyway, the night before the big day we were eating supper and all of a sudden I about came out of my chair yelling at Michael. Kadee had moved so very big (and it hurt pretty bad might I add). I looked at Michael and said "This baby just flipped!" After laughing about what the odds of that were and how crazy that would be for the rest of the night, we didn't really think much else about it. So, on Monday, Aug 1st there I was in my hospital room, gown on, monitors on, nurse already had her little surgery cap on, getting ready for my c-section. Fun times lol! The ultrasound lady came in and said that my Dr. had ordered one last ultrasound to see the baby before we went back and there it was....her head....down lol! Kadee Jane had indeed flipped the night before my c-section! I have to tell you, my reaction was not what it should have been. I honestly was so confused. I did not know whether to be happy or sad (give me a break, I'm super horomonal)! The Dr. was on the phone in the room and said they would let me check back in that night and would induce me the next morning. On one hand, I was so happy bc I had avoided surgery but on the other hand I was SO ready for her to be here (see previous post lol) and had SO siked myself out of labor might I add ;). All I could do was roll my eyes and laugh at how dramatic this princess was already and how this is just so how we do things! Really, what I should have done, was instantly give glory to the Lord for this miracle because he had indeed (as I would soon find out) blessed this whole labor process! So, the hospital gave us a temporary leave and we went and ate lunch and then checked back in for the night. We thought we had one more quiet night to ourselves ahead of us at least so we might as well sit back and enjoy it! Wrong! I ended up going into labor on my own about 9 that night...she really did mean she was going to be born on Aug 2nd! Dr Speed came in and broke my water at 7 the next morn just to keep everything moving and the epidural soon followed. Oh sweet precious epidural! What a wonderful invention! So I did what every woman in labor does..I took a nap lol! When I woke up I was dilated to a 7, the nurse called Dr Speed to just fill him in. That sweet man came right over! He was there about 15 min later with my suprised nurse telling him "She's only a 7, it's not time" and him replying "Yeah, I know. I'll go over and grab something to eat, just call me when she's ready!" then he looks at me and says "I'll just wait on you!" How comforting and wonderful! Did I mention that my nurse was the same nurse that I had the day before who was hand picked for us and was just super wonderful! God blessed us so much with great nurses and doctors the whole time we were there! So shortly after that(like real shortly..50 min), I called my nurse to ask her to check me bc I thought I was ready. I was and it was finally time! Dr. Speed came in telling me how he didn't even get to eat his desert :D, I pushed about 5 times and she was here!! Kadee Jane Cramblit was born at 1:00pm weighing 6lb 12oz and was 19 inches long! She arrived just as I had prayed, kicking and screaming and just as I had prayed against at the same time, complete with the chord wrapped around her neck and a tight true knot in her chord. I knew by the look on Dr. Speeds face as I pushed that something was off and he told me that the chord was around her neck but then after he slipped it over her head he reassured me she was ok. It really was the easiest delivery and the most beautiful baby girl ever! Our stay after that was also a big ole piece of cake with my sister as my nurse every night! She was so awesome! My love and appreciation for her and my Momma (who was equally as wonderful while I was in labor and for keeping my kids) grew so much during this time! They really were wonderful and we all know how family can either make it or break it for you during times like this!
Now, Kadee is almost..not yet but almost.. 6 weeks old and 9 pounds! She looks a lot like Casen did when he was little. Blue blue Cramblit eyes and lots of dark brown hair like her Daddy..don't get too excited about the "lots of hair" bc she will throw herself one of those "I'm holding my breath until I just die and you have to call Aunt Sara to beat me on the back" fits on you if you put a bow or headband on her! I'm gonna start putting them on her in her sleep and see if she can tell bc I am chompin at the bits to dress her up!

Taken by the lovely Jessica Parks!

Even a diva when she sleeps....

and before she gets her diaper changed lol!

We feel so blessed that God saw fit to send us this sweet baby! We are so in love with her...all of us! Trever and ecspecially Casen are completely around her little finger and are very protective of her! We are still adjusting some but with 3 kids (or one for that matter) when do you ever stop adjusting?! I've said it before but I think it really is our family motto! We are the Cramblits and we are just truly blessed!

Fear is not from the Lord...

We are getting pretty close to Kadee Jane getting here...3-4 weeks now...and we cannot wait! Seriously, we are so excited about her getting here that the days are passing by so slowly!! As of yesterday, Kadee is still breech. She has been in this same position, that we know of, for at least 16 weeks. Apparantley she is very comfortable lol! They have given us about another week of any chance that she can turn bc she is over 5 lbs and running out of room. Healthy but stubborn! So, we have already been given the "c-section" talk by the Dr.

This pregnancy has been so different than when I was pregnant with Casen. With Casen, everything was exciting, new and just fun! In trying to have another baby, we lost two babies back to back, each between 2 and 3 months along and really were starting to think that a 3rd child was not in the cards for us. We were at the end of a long run of miscarriages, emotional rollercoasters and lots of horomonal ups and downs (naturally and the pill kind!) when we finally got pregnant this time around with Kadee. We have been very excited from the first positive pregnancy test but it's a different kind of excitement, a cautious one. The kind that you "can't shake the knot in your stomach as you smile on the outside" kind bc you know nothing is certain and that the next Dr visit could be one more "bad" ultrasound to add to the album of all our other angel babies good and "bad" ultrasounds. Our Dr., Dr. Speed has truly held our hand through this pregnancy and has given us reassuring ultrasound after ultrasound just to help ease our minds that things were going smoothly. We are so grateful for that! We have had a few bumps in the road with spotting and contractions that just keep you a little on edge but Kadee seems to have been healthy this whole time. This year has also been a not so great year for "friend pregnancies". We have known several friends this year that have lost babies in the second and even 3rd trimester for no apparant reason or very unexpectedly, which leaves us not only very hearbroken for them but even more on edge about our own pregnancy.

This is where my title comes in. Fear, does not come from the Lord. There are so many times that I have to stop my runaway mind of "what ifs" and just pray, because I know that the devil knows my fear, my fear of something happening to this baby that we desperately want and have tried to have for years, and feeds off of it. With every word of bad news from someone elses' pregnancy, every cramp, or every slow of her movements, the devil uses that opportunity to plant those thoughts in our heads.

I found myself a few weeks ago realizing that I was over 8 months pregnant and had not washed anything, opened anything or attempted to get anything ready for this sweet girl. If you had looked around our house then you prob wouldn't have even known that we had a girl that would be here in a month or so. Now I am busy with the boys, don't get me wrong, but I really had to have an honest moment with myself and get to the bottom of this. Fear was at the root of this. I had put myself in protection mode and was just trying to not "set myself up". I was afraid. Afraid of opening her stuff and getting even more excited about her upcoming arrival. Afraid of getting that much more attached to her. Afraid she would never make it to our house. I was constantly (even subconsiously sometimes)imagining coming home empty handed and having to face a closet of pink clothes or a crib with nothing to put in it. You get the picture. That seemed like so much more of a reality to me than actually bringing this girl home. What little faith I had! Here I am, the daughter of God Almighty and I am afraid. Really afraid. I serve a God that allowed me to get pregnant with a healthy girl to start with when odds were really stacking against us. A God that clearly states that there are only good plans for me and I am so full of doubt and plain ole fear that I can't even open a pack of pink socks or get anything out of storage. Crazy. We all struggle with something or many somethings. But really, who has ever faced anything that was was too big for God? Even though I am facing my fear with prayer daily and have a completely put together nursery now (well corner, Kadee's Corner as we call it, of our room bc we are out of room but you get the pic), washed and hung the cutest pink clothes on hot pink hangers (and described most outfits to her so she could be excited too :)and sterilized bottles, I am still not really guaranteed that things will go "right" but I do know, with great peace and comfort, that whatever happens will be because that is what God's plan was for us and that He would not put me through anything without equipping me with the grace sufficient to get through it in a way that no one on the outside would even begin to understand! I am so thankful for this and am encouraged by it multiple times a day!

We still would appreciate any prayers for us and Kadee's delivery. Obviously "I" would prefer to deliver her naturally but at the same time we are not attempting any of the "tricks" to get her to turn and are completely relying on God to let her be delivered as He sees fit. We just want her to be kicking and screaming however she gets here! Judging by her already "Diva-ish" attitude, I don't think that will be a problem! 3.5 weeks and counting!

Trever is 6!

So my biggest "baby" is 6! I am a little behind on posting about this because my laptop (that I have had for 3 months, decided to crash so there will also be no pics of my big boy :( bc they are all on my laptop and I can't download pics to my Nook) Trever celebrated his birthday with a bowling party! He loves to bowl! He also found out that bowling "in person" is a little different than bowling on the Wii..which he excels at and no one can beat him!
At 6, Trever:
-can read basic/beginner words
-loves math
-is obsessed with his DS (eye roll lol)
-loves to put things together and can follow directions to build almost anything
has gotten a lot better at baseball and is really enjoying it
-is a very loving brother and I can only imagine how "whooped" he is going to be once Kadee gets here lol
-will ask you a million and 4 questions every minute of the day if you will let him
-is very curious about how babies actually are born lol!
-is a little sneaky
-can work a puzzle with his eyes closed
-has got his "groove" back lol (he used to dance all the time and then stopped for some time but seems to have gotten it back thankfully bc it's hilarious!
-loves to play jokes on people but isn't that great yet at having ones played on him
- can come up with the deepest and most thoughtful prayers

We are so very blessed to have him and he has come such a long way in the past 4 years! He really is the glue to our family and I couldn't imagine life without him! Happy Birthday big boy!

Is Anybody There???

So it has been about 6 months since I have updated this blog...6 months, really. Wow! Time seems to just go by so fast these days! There are many things that I need to post about but to save us all 20 minutes of reading, I will just update each person a little!
Our biggest family news (and this is so weird that I do not have this on here) is that we are expecting a GIRL in 10 -11 weeks actually! Kadee Jane Cramblit will be here before we know it! (and at the rate I'm going, before I make another post lol) :/ We are SO very excited that God is blessing us with another child here on Earth! Kadee has already brought such joy and pinkness to our family!! We recently had our 4d done and she looks so much like Casen! She is even in the same breech position with her feet crossed the same way as Casen was at his 4d. Amazing! So far it looks like she has a little bit of a sharper nose like Michael and Trever but def has the same lips and eyes that me and Casen have! She is not a morning person and actually started crying when we finally got her woke up! We go back again in 3 weeks to see our sweet girl again! I cannot wait and I can't wait to get her here!!!

Michael- Work is busy, which is a good thing. He just works so very hard to provide for our family and we are so very blessed to call him ours! He recently pulled up the carpet in our living room and existing hardwood in our foyer and replaced it all with new beautiful hardwood! He is so handy!

Trever - The biggest news for Trever is that he was saved last month! I have always thought he was a little spiritually mature for his age and he just keeps proving that over and over! We are so proud of him and as parents, couldn't ask for anything more! We are trying to decide on a date for him to be baptized!
He will be starting Kindergarten at NMS in about two months (you know, like the same time Kadee will be getting here...can we say crazy!!!) We are not certain that we are going to have our kids in public school forever bc we dearly love home schooling but we feel like this year school will do Trever some good. He has really grown and matured a lot in this last year! He has done very well with his schoolwork at home except for math. We've had some issues with everything being backwards but he seems to be outgrowing some of it! I think it will do him good to have some more friends on a more regular basis and with a new baby I am afraid that I won't be able to keep his social life up to where it needs to be! We will continue to do some curriculum at home for 2 main reasons: 1) he loves school work and it seems to help him build confidence 2) I am not impressed with public school curriculum so far but really love our homeschooling curriculum. Trever is also playing baseball for Meridianville right now (with Michael assis. coaching) and is doing quite well! Esp. hitting!

Casen - Just turned 3 last month! 3! Can you believe it? As I look at the 4d pics of Kadee, I can't help but think that that should still be Casen. We had his party at Kid Venture here in Hsv and celebrated with close family and about 10 2 and 3 year olds...you can imagine how loud it was! Casen keeps this house running! He so loves Trever, they are big buds now (with a fight or two..every hour) but he doesn't know what to do when Trever is not here. (We'll see how this adjustment goes with Trever going to school) He is at this stage where he is so smart and witty with a very large splash of stubborness (that he clearly gets from Michael ;) which also makes reasoning with him (for about everything) difficult at times. We are in what I call "serious training mode" with him...where you have to stay on top of him 100% of the time or he will take that one missed opportunity of a lesson or correction and run with it! This can be exhausting but as we have seen with Trever, the fruits of it will be aparent more and more as time goes on! Casen is continuing to grow so fast it really is unbelievable some times! He is about 40 lbs. and about 4 inches shorter than Trever. This boy loves to eat! He gets this so honestly! He is still obsessed with any kind of candy or chocolate esp and gum! That is just Casen!

As far as I go, not really a whole lot has changed except that I am pregnant so that makes me a little bigger, a lot slower and hot. :) I so cannot wait for this sweet girl to get here! We truly have been so blessed as a family and we give all the glory to the Lord!
