Piddlin'

No, not what your puppy does on your couch but that thing that we all used to do...before life got so busy. There are weekends where Michael (and sometimes the boys) will be heading out the door and of course I ask where he is going and he says "Piddlin" with a grin on his face. He will return a few hours later with nothing special to report that he had done or gotten acomplished. Well, since we had the stomach virus for about two weeks (I never had it but all the boys kept swapping it) I found myself, a few weeks ago, wanting to get out of the house. Trever and I really needed some fresh air (and we were desperately trying to avoid being around the other two since they were sick) so we went to my Momma's and got Papa Jack's 4 wheeler. We packed a lunch and headed out...nowhere in particular, just going. We took pics of the new calf and then stopped by the pond out in the pasture and had a wonderful picnic. Time passes so slowly and quietly outside. Not only was it so peaceful but the time that I got to spend just setting and talking to my biggest little man was priceless. Then we got to just drive up and down the road visiting! (For those of you that don't know most of my family lives on the same road) It kinda made me think back to the old "front porch" thing where everyone got together in the afternoons and just talked while kids played. Now houses don't even have front porches because there isn't a need for them. While I hate that the reason I was reconnected with piddlin was because Michael and Casen were sick, Trever and I had a great time! I think we should all slow down and take more time to just "piddle"!
