I wish I knew what they were looking at bc Trever looks a little concerned!
Casen is only smiling in this pic bc he was planning to make a run for it!
I completely forgot to write and share pics of when we went to the aquarium a few weeks ago during Trever's Spring Break! We left out on a Friday morning and after forgetting several things and getting on the "road" late we managed to get there pretty close to lunch time. (this was not my plan by the way) This was our very first trip anywhere with kids... out of state (not counting mexican in Fayetteville ;) and over-night...we were being brave! I like to have the mind set of "If the Duggars can do it so can we" HA! We ate lunch and made it through the aquarium without many incidents...for us this is unusual! I think this was because it was naptime by the time we got out of there and Casen was in a semi-coma. We also learned very early on that he would have to remain in the stroller...buckled. He is a "mad-dasher". He waits for just the right time, yanks his hand out of yours and that little guy is haulin'! He really doesn't care or know where he is going, he is just going! The aquarium was really, really crowded on this day and I am germaphobic and afraid someone is going to kidnap my kids so I would have paid $100 for a Xanax. Next time I will know. ;) The boys really enjoyed all of the fish and of course the shark! I think Trever enjoyed it the most! We were able to touch a Stingray and some other kind of fish. That was neat to everyone except Casen....texture issues.
Casen coloring on the rocks :/
After we left, we headed to Knoxville to visit my Great Aunt and Uncle. They are retired, live in a nice, quiet, gated community and their house is clean...we were ducks out of water. Just kidding! They do have a beautiful place. I think we all realized very quickly that the nice coy fish pond lined with beautiful rocks was and was not kid friendly all at the same time! Rocks, water and frogs.. what is there not to love (boys view)?! A busted open head, wet clothes and rocks that don't belong in the pond suddenly relocated to the pond, that's what was not to love (my view)! It is always good to see and catch up with family that you don't get to see very often. We had a great time there! I think Aunt Daphne could have used a Xanax too about the time that Casen flipped head first over the chair at supper but Uncle Harry seemed to have been impressed! Trever was wonderful as usual. Casen was Casen. I am quite certain that we caught terrible two's while we were on this trip. (this is something that you "catch" because he surely cannot be genetically wired for this) I was pretty sure that this had happened when a lady in Cracker Barrel confirmed it for us...without us asking :/ I'm not sure if it was because he kept yelling or throwing food or that my whipping him in public at this point was not even phasing him. It possibly could have been that he jumped out of his chair (mad-dash mode) only to run a circle through the place. I'm not really sure why she thought she needed to tell us that that he was going through "terrible two's". She must have thought that I just didn't notice as I carried him over my shoulder back to the table while he was kicking and screaming. Not real sure. :/ Anyway, we made the trip and made it back home safely!
I do have to say that we had not used Crayola Color Wonder Markers before this trip and they are truly wonderful!
